1960 Chevrolet Corvette Panama Yellow/Black. 283/230 V8 4-Speed

This 1960 Chevrolet Corvette is powered by a 283ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is refinished in Panama Yellow over black vinyl. Equipment includes a white convertible soft top, 15″ steel wheels, windshield washers, lap belts, an AM radio, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror. The car was refinished in Panama Yellow with white coves. Exterior equipment includes a white convertible soft top, windshield washers, quadruple headlights, split chrome bumpers, fender vents, and dual exhaust outlets. The 15″ steel wheels feature spinner-style covers and are mounted with 205/75 Coker Classic tires. The car came equipped from the factory with an independent front suspension and semi-elliptical rear leaf springs. The interior features two bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl along with a color-coordinated dashboard topper, carpets, and door panels. Equipment includes sunshades, lap belts, an AM radio, and a dash-mounted rearview mirror. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a sweeping 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, battery charge, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer currently shows 89,939 miles, but total mileage is unknown. The 283ci V8 features a four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 230 horsepower when new from the factory. The carburetor was rebuilt in 2024 by the previous owner. The stamping on the engine pad is shown above. The engine pad has a CQ suffix stamped on it and is consistent with a 283ci V8 rated at 230 horsepower and designated for a 1960 Corvette with a four-barrel carburetor and a manual transmission.
