1958 Signet Red Corvette Roadster with Hardtop. 283ci V8 with 4 speed manual.
1958 Chevrolet Corvette was restored by the previous owner in 1992 with work that included a repaint in Signet Red with white coves, a re-trim of the interior in signet red, and a rebuild of the 283ci V8 and the four-speed manual transmission. The car was awarded NCRS Chapter Top Flight awards in 1992, 1993, and 1994. the previous owner stored it as part of a collection until 2023. In the fall of 2023 work that was preformed was servicing the fluids, re-coring the radiator, and replacing the water pump, battery, and fuel pump. The car is equipped with a body-color removable hardtop, lap belts, dual exhaust outlets, and 15″ steel wheels with chrome covers. This Corvette was refinished in Signet red with white coves during the early-1990s refurbishment, and exterior equipment includes a removable body-color hardtop, quadruple headlights, split chrome bumpers, fender vents, and dual exhaust outlets. The 15″ steel wheels feature spinner-style covers and are mounted with 6.70-15 BFGoodrich Silvertown whitewall tires. The car came equipped from the factory with an independent front suspension and semi-elliptical rear leaf springs. The interior features two bucket seats trimmed in red vinyl along with a color-coordinated dashboard, carpets, and door panels. Equipment includes a dash-mounted rearview mirror, lap belts, and a Wonder Bar AM radio. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a sweeping 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, battery charge, and oil pressure. The 283ci V8 features a four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 230 horsepower. The the engine was rebuilt in the early 1990s, and the car was stored from 1994 to 2023.
