1956 Jaguar XK140 MC is a left-hand-drive drophead Coupe was restored from 2010 through 2015 by Paul's Jaguar of Oakland Park, Florida. The body was from the frame and refinishing it in Arbor Green, while the 3.4-liter inline-six and three-speed automatic transmission were rebuilt. The suspension, brake, fuel, and electric systems were also overhauled, and the interior has been re-trimmed in beige upholstery. Additional appointments include a beige soft top, dual SU carburetors, a Bell stainless steel dual exhaust system, 16″ Dayton wire wheels, Boge shocks, and a burl wood dashboard. Chrome-finished 16” Dayton 72-spoke wire wheels are secured via two-eared knock-off spinners and wrapped in 185-width Vredestein Sprint Classic tires, while a matching spare is stored in the trunk compartment. The steering box was rebuilt during the refurbishment, at which time the suspension was refreshed and replacement Boge shocks were installed. Custom-fabricated alignment plates were fitted up front, and the four-wheel drum brake system was overhauled with relined brake shoes and replacement drums, wheel cylinders, hoses, and rear wheel bearings. The reupholstered interior features low-back bucket seats trimmed in biscuit leather accompanied by color-coordinated Wilton wool carpets. Refreshed burl wood trim adorns the dashboard and door panels, while a rearview mirror is affixed to a custom-fabricated wood dash topper. The locking glove box has been replaced, and additional appointments include a heater, lap belts, and a rear storage compartment. A four-spoke steering wheel features a Jaguar horn button and fronts refurbished Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, a reverse-sweep tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The 3.4-liter inline-six was rebuilt by Paul's Jaguar, while the C-Type cylinder head was overhauled by Vintage Jag Works of Blackfoot, Idaho. Work involved rebuilding the dual SU carburetors and replacing the pistons, rings, timing chains, head gasket, main and rod bearings, and water pump. The radiator was recorded, the heater core was replaced, and the fuel system was overhauled with a replacement electronic fuel pump at that time. A 12-volt electrical system has been installed. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission that was overhauled. The rear axle and differential were also rebuilt, while various underside components were powder-coated black. The porcelain-coated exhaust manifolds have been refinished, and a replacement Bell stainless steel dual exhaust system and heat shields have been installed.
